Sure, Texas might be the pickup truck capital of the world, but the world record for the longest pickup truck parade was recently set at the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Germany, where 1,152 Dodge Ram pickup trucks filed into the ring and made their way around the track to set a new world record. Pretty cool if you ask us, and even more impressive is the fact that it was in Germany where pickup trucks are not nearly as common as they are here in the states. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan recently announced U.S. pricing for the 2017 Titan and Titan XD Single Cab pickups, which are on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide. Pricing starts under $30,000 – with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price1 (MSRP) of $29,580 for the Titan S Single Cab 4×2 and $31,090 for the Titan XD S Single Cab Gas 4×2.
LAS VEGAS – The top trending vehicle models in five categories were announced recently for the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Selected by manufacturing exhibitors of the world’s premier automotive trade show, the SEMA Award winners are the Ford Mustang as the Hottest Coupe, the Dodge Charger as the Hottest Sedan, the Ford Focus as the Hottest Hatch, the Jeep Wrangler as the hottest 4×4-SUV, and the Ford F-Series as the Hottest Truck.

You couldn’t walk more than 5 feet at this year’s SEMA Show without seeing or bumping into a truck. Trucks greeted SEMA Show attendees at hall entrances, and the edges of each side of the convention center, and they were pretty much everywhere you looked.

While massive year-over-year increases in pickup truck sales can often be attributed to commensurate increases in incentives, as seen with the Ram P/U’s victory over the Chevrolet Silverado in September, mid-size pickup truck buyers are willing to pay big bucks.
Average transaction prices in the Toyota Tacoma-controlled midsize pickup truck segment last month, according to Kelley Blue Book, rose 6 percent compared with September 2015. That was by far the biggest increase for any segment in average transaction prices.
